Ms. Bakalem obtained her Texas Real Estate License in 2001. In her second year as Realtor she received the Leadership Award for two consecutive years. In her fourth year she received the coveted Top Producer Award in the Harlingen and Brownsville area, in her fourth year she received the President’s Circle award for having the most transactions in one year, 67. This had not been accomplished by anyone in the region in 17 years, earning her the Top 3% National Award.

Ms. Bakalem opened her own company Nexus Real Estate, in 2005 and obtained her Texas Broker License. Since 2007 Ms. Bakalem and the professional team have become the number one company in Brownsville and the surrounding area. In 2010, she received the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Women’s Council of Realtors.

She strongly believes her experience and skills have helped her develop a successful business, and looks forward to helping you with all your real estate needs.

Keith Cummins was born and raised and has spent his entire real estate career in Brownsville, Texas. He is descended from families that settled in Brownsville in the 1920’s. He attended Brownsville public schools, Schreiner Institute, and Southern Methodist University where he earned a bachelor of business administration.

Mr. Cummins obtained his first real estate license in 1966, and in 1972 earned his Texas Broker’s License. His professional accomplishments include president of the Brownsville-South Padre Island Board of Realtors in 1982, state director of the Texas Association of Realtors in 1983, president of the Brownsville-South Padre Island Board of Realtors Education Foundation, chairman of numerous local board committees, and he has been twice recognized by his peers as Realtor of the Year.

He earned the prestigious Certified Real Estate Broker designation in 1986.Community activities include serving on the boards of the United Way, Brownsville Boys Club, Good Neighbor Settlement House, and the American Cancer Society. He has held leadership positions in the United Methodist Church, the Walk to Emmaus, and International Christian Center. In 1970 and 1971 he served as a Brownsville City Commissioner.
