Keith Cummins was born and raised and has spent his entire real estate career in Brownsville, Texas. He is descended from families that settled in Brownsville in the 1920’s. He attended Brownsville public schools, Schreiner Institute, and Southern Methodist University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Mr. Cummins has been a realtor since 1966 and then in 1972 earned his Broker’s License. His professional accomplishments include president of the Brownsville-South Padre Island Board of Realtors in 1982, state director of the Texas Association of Realtors in 1983, president of the Brownsville-South Padre Island Board of Realtors Education Foundation, chairman of numerous local board committees, and he has been recognized twice by his peers as Realtor of the Year.
He earned the prestigious Certified Real Estate Broker designation in 1986. His community activities include serving on the boards of the United Way, Brownsville Boys Club, Good Neighbor Settlement House, and the American Cancer Society. He has held leadership positions in the United Methodist Church, the Walk to Emmaus, and International Christian Center. In 1970 and 1971 he served as a Brownsville City Commissioner. He enjoys being a Broker with Nexus Real Estate as he shares his experience and wisdom with his Nexus Team.
